Dear friends, It is with great pleasure I accept the role of S.A.M.S President 2008/09, bestowed upon me by Greg Forbes at the recent convention in Greenock. I follow in the footsteps of my father, Bill McLeod, who held the post in 1994 and have many happy memories of attending S.A.M.S conventions with him as a younger man. Many fellow conventioneers have become lifelong friends- such is the fellowship among Scottish Magicians and their families. I hope to continue these friendships and perhaps make new acquaintances whilst sharing the gift of magic during my year in office. May I extend my thanks to the many committee members and behind the scenes volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure a successful 2008 convention.

At Greenock, I met families attending their first convention and delegates who have attended all fifty-seven! Magic really does have something for everyone so spread the word and let's make SAMS the best yet! So, on behalf of SAMS please accept our invitation to Montrose on the 1st,2nd and 3rd May 2009 for a weekend of fun, family and friendship. During my year in office, I would be delighted to visit as many Magic Clubs as possible so please get in touch and let's get the ball rolling!

          Societies, affiliated to S.A.M.S. to the Annual General Meeting on Sunday 1st
